Tip of the Day!

A friend from one of my scrapbooking clubs had a tip about the Cricut stamp sets and cartridge. Thought I would share with each of you this idea.

Once you get your stamp set from the company find the ones you can use with the Cricut. My example here is the stocking.

Then go to your Cricut catalog and find the matching icon. The stocking in this case.

Then on the stamp sets clear paper next to the cut size take a black marker and write which page it is on.

This will save you time in the future from having to go look it up each time you get the stamp set out.

Gift Card Holder

Cut a 5" x 12" piece of cardstock
Score it at 3 1/2", 6", and 8 1/2"
Fold so the center pops up like a tent
Cut a small part out of the center tent area for your card to fit into
Glue only the outer edges of the tent area.
Decorate to your liking!

Slider Card

Cut 5 1/4 x 12 card stock base
Score 4" on each side
Fold
Cut one side just a hair shorter so it lays flatter when folded
Take a plastic bag and cut a 3" strip
Wrap around one of the edges and tape. Do not pull to tight or it will cause problems when pulling.
Decorate the front of the card
Cut (2) 5 1/4 x 3 1/4 for pull out part of the card
Attach bottom pull out first. Adhear top of pice only to plastic bag. (practice to make sure it looks right)
Adhear front pull out to back side adhearing the bottom of the piece only to the plastic bag. (Again practice to make sure it looks right)
Fold card together and adhear the one edge to seam the card together.
